Hello friends and family!
As some of you may or may not know, I have recently move out to Austin, Texas. Making the jump to get out of Virginia and leave my friends, family and animals behind is certainly one of the toughest decisions I've had to make. So far I am very thankful for doing it and wouldn't change things one bit.
With that being said, I'm onto my next mission to not only give back to an exceptional organization with which I've had the pleasure of working side by side, but also fulfill an incredibly thrilling dream of mine. My goal is to join the group of people who rappel down this 32 story building in the of the city, and know I'm doing it with an incredible purpose. My hands are sweating just thinking about it, but once I heard about it I just couldn't pass up on the opportunity.
I am raising funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas by joining 200 people on June 9th & 10th, 2018, to go Over The Edge - literally! Over The Edge challenges you to face your fears, catch your breath, step up to the edge and rappel from the 32nd story of 600 Congress in the heart of downtown. The first 200 fundraisers to raise a minimum of $1,500 will earn a spot to go Over The Edge.
More than 550 children in central and south Texas are diagnosed each year with a critical medical condition. Last year, Make-A-Wish® Central & South Texas granted 283 wishes for local children. You can help Make-A-Wish® reach more of these children and create hope, strength and joy in their lives. Money raised by rappellers goes towards granting these wishes.
You can also rappel with me by signing up to go Over The Edge too! Click here to register.
I hope you can help me reach my goal and help make a difference in the lives of children who need it most!
