I had so much fun last year, I'm doing it again! The weekend of June 14-15th, I'm going Over the Edge for Make-A-Wish with at least 200 other rappellers to raise funds and awareness in Central & South Texas. Over the Edge challenges you to face your fears, catch your breath, step up to the edge and rappel 38 stories down W Austin in the heart of downtown.
More than 350 children in central and south Texas are diagnosed each year with a life-threatening medical condition. Last year, Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas granted 218 wishes. I hope you'll join me in helping Make-A-Wish reach more of these children and create hope, strength and joy in their lives. All the money raised by rappellers goes towards granting the wishes of these local children.
I've been involved with Make-A-Wish for more than ten years and this is one of the most exhilarating fundraising events I've ever participated in. It's an honor this year to team up with Statesman editor Debbie Hiott (we are calling ourselves the Dynamic Duo) to raise money for an amazing cause, and bring my family and friends together. Thank you in advance for your consideration, time, and donation!
